Problem Note 22238: With SAS® 9.2, using byvariable="00"X on a LABEL statement no longer removes the variable name from the BY-line in graphics output

DetailsAboutRate It

Prior to SAS 9.2, using the following LABEL statement with SAS/GRAPH procedures will remove the variable name (and the equal sign) in the BY-line that appears above the graph:

label byvariable="00"X;

However, starting with SAS 9.2 TS1M0, the technique above no longer works.

To circumvent the problem, use the following technique instead:

goptions hby=0;  /* This removes the default BY-line */

title1 "#byval(byvariable)";
